It’s time to reflect on the wonderful events and initiatives the North Suburban Kiwanis Club has championed in our communities. Thanks to the commitment of our members and the generous support of our community, we’ve had a busy first half of the year filled with opportunities to give back and make a difference.

October: Pumpkins Galore!
Kicking off the fall season, we hosted our annual free Pumpkins giveaway at three locations: the Lake Johanna Fire Department, Path of Grace United Methodist Church, and the Old Clover Inn Bar. This year we donated over 1,000 pumpkins. It was a joy to see families light up with smiles as they selected their perfect pumpkins for fall festivities. This event fosters community spirit and brings families together.

November: Filling Bellies for Thanksgiving
In the spirit of gratitude, we rolled up our sleeves in November to fill bags of food for Thanksgiving dinner. Each bag was packed with love and essentials, ensuring that families in our community could enjoy a hearty meal during this special holiday.

December: Spreading Holiday Cheer
December was a month of giving! We filled bags for the Sharing and Caring Hands and made sure to include a Christmas stocking for an extra touch of joy. It was heartwarming to know that our efforts would bring smiles to those who needed it most during the holiday season.

January:
Investing in Our Future
January 2025 brought us an exciting opportunity to give back to our youngest community members. We proudly donated $25,000 to the CEPO Playground Grant to support the development of a new playground at Centennial Elementary. We believe that every child deserves a safe and fun place to play, and this contribution will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.

February: Standing Against Bullying
As we moved into February, we took a stand for our youth by donating $1,000 to Peacemaker Minnesota to support anti-bullying initiatives in elementary schools. Promoting a safe environment for our children is vital, and we are excited to be part of the solution.
We are extremely proud of the achievements of the North Suburban Kiwanis Club so far this year. Every event not only demonstrates our dedication to service but also highlights the power of community connections.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to serve and uplift our community. If you’d like to get involved, don’t hesitate to reach out!
